The BGHS Air Force JROTC cadets joined veterans’ family members and
other service people at Portland International Airport to welcome the
veterans home from the expenses-paid trip. Chief Master Sgt. Charles
Shannon of BGHS said the cadets met two flights Sunday with a total of
44 WW II veterans and 45 guardians and trip leaders, most of whom were
post-WW II veterans.

The mission of Honor flight is to “ Transport America's veterans to
Washington, D.C. to      visit those memorials dedicated to honor their
service and sacrifices.”
