Old Amboy-School bricks to be given away Aug. 11

Bricks from the old Amboy Middle School, which was burned June 30 in a firefighting exercise that saved the Battle Ground School District in demolition costs, will be given away from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11. Click "read more."

Ruble from the old school will remain inaccessible behind a security fence until the give-away. The general public is encouraged to give those who attended or worked at the old school the first half hour that morning to gather bricks.

The old school site is at the corner of state Highway 503 and Chelatchie Road in Amboy, immediately west of the new (2008) Amboy Middle School.
