What to know about student Chromebooks in the 2026-27 school year

At a glance:

  • Battle Ground is making adjustments to how school-issued technology is used, particularly at the primary and middle school levels.

  • Chromebooks will continue to play an important role in providing access to learning materials, student work and testing.

  • While the change does not result in a significant cost savings, we believe that it reduces dependence on technology and encourages responsible use.

  • We will continue to assess the impact of this change as the year progresses and evaluate options as needed.
