Citizens Advisory Committee
Formed in 2021, the Citizens Advisory Committee is designed to keep district staff and school board members informed of community perspectives, represent the interests of parents and the community on specific school issues, promote the maximum interaction between the district and the community and raise community awareness of school board decisions and policies.
Structure
The committee includes Battle Ground Public Schools community members with representatives ranging from business, municipal and faith-based leaders to parents and senior citizens. Members represent different roles and geographic areas.
The Citizens Advisory Committee provides a forum where each member may have a part in shaping the future of the educational process and environment as it is developed.
Past committee work has included bond planning and shaping the district’s strategic plan.
Meetings
Committee meetings take place once per most months from September to April.
