FUTURES program
Futures builds skills to foster independence in the areas of employment, life skills and community interactions for students ages 18-21 with disabilities.
Work at on-campus worksite, The Battle Ground Barkery
Work at off-campus worksites throughout Battle Ground and Vancouver
Schedules are individualized based on student needs
Interaction with supervisors at worksites
Worksites provide students with learning opportunities in a variety of settings to gain valuable experience and discover possible career paths

The Futures program may be a great fit for students who:
Are between 18-21 years old
Adapt well to change
Demonstrate appropriate behavior in the community
Carry and use ID
Have a successful attendance record
Are able to spend part of the day unsupervised
Have the ability to work independently at work sites
Have the ability to learn to ride public transportation
Have a stabilized health condition
Have independent self-care management
Have time management skills
Are willing to participate in the program
Have prior on-the-job work experience
Are or are willing to be connected with DDA and DVR services
Have independent communication skills or an assistive device
