The special meeting/work session began at 4:30 p.m. and included a discussion of the 2024-25 budget.

Regular meeting

The regular meeting began at 6 p.m. and included:

• Agenda approval

• Student voice from Battle Ground Virtual Academy, Summit View High School, Battle Ground High School and River HomeLink

  • Brynn Boldemann, a fourth grade student at River HomeLink, shared her prize-winning essay about her bulldog named Biggie.

• Committee and board director reports

• Superintendent and staff updates

• Citizens’ comments

• Approval of the consent agenda

• New business—the board voted unanimously to approve the following:

  • Approval of advertising request for proposal and specifications for food services

  • Revision of policy 1400 regarding meeting conduct, order of business and quorum

  • Revision of policy 1610 regarding conflicts of interest for the board of directors

• Future agenda items and board events
