Crews have been hard at work improving entry security at a number of our campuses. Over winter break, a second internal entry was installed at Captain Strong, Pleasant Valley and Glenwood Heights primary schools.
Additional work is underway to install new remote entry systems at those buildings and other primary campuses that will allow parents and visitors to “buzz in” and gain entry to buildings quickly and safely. These systems will eventually be installed at buildings across the district.
Security has been a key concern raised by parents
and employees in recent years. Further security improvements are in the works, and we look forward to sharing that progress as it happens.
