Battle Ground Public Schools serves students whose families are from all over the world. Over the past year, we have seen a significant increase in the number of students whose primary language is not English. Many are from parts of the world experiencing ongoing conflicts that cause anxiety, fear and uncertainty. It is important to remain mindful that each person has unique circumstances that affect their daily experiences at school and home. We expect that everyone in our schools will treat and speak to one another with respect. We appreciate your partnership in maintaining a safe learning environment where everyone belongs and is treated with dignity as a valued member of our diverse learning community.

Whether directly or indirectly impacted by wars, conflicts and/or other difficult situations, all of our students can access a variety of counseling and mental health resources. Battle Ground Public Schools has counselors at all of its schools to support students and connect them to mental health resources when needed. The district also has partnerships with mental health providers in the community who can help students and families in crisis. Please reach out to your child’s school if they need additional support.
